Advanced Well Testing

Location United Arab Emirates
Date 18-Nov-2024 To 22-Nov-2024
Duration 5 Days
Language English
Discipline DRILLING & RESERVOIR

Training Certificate

Prolific Consultants FZE Certificate of Course Completion will be issued to all attendees.

Course Introduction

The course will cover the use of well pressures and flow rates for the evaluation of a reservoir surrounding the tested well. Course will provide participants with a comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge of well test analysis techniques. Emphasis will be placed on the practical aspects of well testing - a number of relevant examples will be presented. The use of analysis results to assist in decision making related to reservoir development and well completion will be illustrated through real-life case histories. Attendees are encouraged to bring well tests used in recent projects for discussion.

Course Objective

  • The participants should learn the basic aspects of various types of fluid flow in the gas/oil reservoir.
  • They should understand reservoir behavior and predict its performance under different conditions of production control.
  • They should understand how to determine the ability of a formation to deliver reservoir fluids.

Suitable For

Reservoir and Production Engineers

Training Methodology

A highly interactive combination of lectures and discussion sessions will be managed to maximize the amount and quality of information and knowledge transfer. The sessions will start by raising the most relevant questions, and motivate everybody find the right answers. You will also be encouraged to raise your own questions and to share in the development of the right answers using your own analysis and experiences. Tests of multiple-choice type will be made available on daily basis to examine the effectiveness of delivering the course.

Very useful Course Materials will be given.

  • 30% Lectures
  • 30% Workshops and work presentation
  • 20% Group Work & Practical Exercises
  • 20% Videos & General Discussions
